KURMA AVATAR

Kurma is the second avatar of Vishnu in a half tortoise half-man form. During the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthna), he balances Mount Mandara on his shell to assist the gods and the asuras in the churning process. During Samudra Manthan, Vishnu also took a female avatar Mohini, to distribute the amrita, the nectar of immortality. As Mohini and Kurma avatars, Lord Vishnu plays a very important role in ending the hundreds of years of conflict between gods and Asuras.

SASHI's VIEWS                                                                                                                        The Vaivasvata king ship had touched the land some place in Himalayas ( identified as manali ). They moved south to plane land and planning to establish a small kingdom, soon they observed that the floods had swept all the valuable things and might have settled them into sea. They went to sea and surprised to see big debris over the sea. Every thing got collected at one place stood like a big mountain. By the time they reached many local people are out there.                                                                                                                                                               After sometime they had decided to clear the debris and take out the valuable things. King men took the help of the native people, 5 to 6 native people are clearing the debris and sending them through a human chain. The items are analyzed and placed according their values. This is viewed as someone is churning the ocean with a big mountain and a serpent. The 5 to 6 persons in the front are resembling the snake hood and human chain as snake body. The debris is consisting of lot of plant waste, dead bodies smelling foul. Soon the foul is significant and poisonous. The work was stopped.                                                                                                                                          To overcome the situation, wood was burned and the ash is spread on the ocean surface. The ash solved the problem to some extent. Now they had another problem the heap of debris is shrinking, the work was stopped. Once again they prayed Vishnu, after few days they noticed that the tortoise are around it, eating the waste and emptying the mud, the debris stopped shrinking. All Praise The God Vishnu. They extracted many things, living persons and some animals and important plants and lots of gold. After successful doing it, they trick the local and took all valuable things with them.
