PARSHURAM AVATAR
The Sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, Parshuram, is depicted as a sage with an axe in his hand. He was born to end the tyranny of the evil Kshatriyas, who misused their powers, made others’ lives miserable, and brought them to justice.
Lord Parashurama was a Brahmin by birth, being a son of Sage Jamadagni. He was born in the Treta Yuga, and it is believed he will appear again in the Kali Yuga to guide the Kalki Avatar of Vishnu. According to Puranas, Parashurama is one of the Cheranjeevis (the immortal ones).
SASHI's VIEWS After the asura king Balli, gone into exile the kings happy and felt no threat to their life, and their Kingdom. Now they are in a position of enjoying endless trustful towards their people. Now kings are more arrogant and not at all responsible towards their righteousness (dharma). The lawlessness is ruling the kingdoms, The Kingdom citizens are unhappy and situation had worsen, the matter went to royal priest. But no use they can't dare to question the kings. The matter comes to jamadhagni, the matter is discussed and handed over to parshurama. Parshurama took the matter seriously and challenged every kings, and had to fight some kings and simply eliminated some arrogant kings. This sort of operation he had carried out 21 times. In one of the encounter he come across kartavirya Arjuna, thousand arms from both sides. ( Kartavirya Arjuna moves his hand at such a speed, appeared as thousand hands on both sides ) Kartavirya is considered to be the contemporary of Ravana. Ravana came "in the course of his campaign of conquest to Mahishmati (the capital of Kartavirya), he was captured without difficulty, they took Ravana as prisoner, but later he was killed by Parashurama and Ravana was rescued from Arjuna.
